Production
We started our activities as a compound feed manufacturer in 1968 and ventured into chicken meat production in 1984. By producing cleaned and packaged fresh chicken for the first time in Turkey, we began the production of turkey meat in 2001, followed by ready-to-eat advanced processed foods and deli products. Currently, we operate in three different locations: Elâzığ, İzmir, and Bandırma.
We are one of the leading food companies in our country, delivering raw chicken products, sauced products, ready-to-eat cooked products, and deli products quickly to our customers.
Poultry Meat Production
We conduct our chicken production in 3 slaughterhouses located in Bandırma, İzmir, and Elazığ. Our turkey meat production facility is located in İzmir Kemalpaşa. The production process begins with chickens and turkeys transported to the slaughterhouse by special transport vehicles from the farms of contracted breeders. Chickens that are slaughtered individually by hand in accordance with halal standards are then passed through stages of feather plucking, entrail removal, and cooling by automatic machines, and are subsequently prepared according to the demands of consumers and customers, and then transferred to cold storage to be shipped to distribution points. Our facilities operate under the supervision of official veterinarians affiliated with the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry.

Ready Product Production
In our Advanced Processing Facility, chicken meats from cutting facilities go through various production stages, are blended with carefully selected spices in special mixers, and shaped. The shaped ready products are then cooked, cooled, weighed, and packaged, before being transferred to cold storage for delivery to consumers and then distributed to points of sale. Ready products produced in our facility, where the latest technology is used and high hygiene standards are implemented, include both fresh and frozen varieties. Products produced in the facilities include delicatessen items such as salami, sausage, and sucuk, practical items like meatballs, döner, kebabs, and coated products such as schnitzel, nuggets, crispy wings, and crispy chicken cubes.
Live Production
For the chicks delivered from the incubation facilities to the poultry houses, it is vital to create suitable conditions such as temperature, ventilation, adequate feed, and water from the very first day. All producers who raise broilers are under contract and the poultry houses belong to them. Adjustments or changes to care and management conditions are made according to the age of the chick and weather conditions. All of our poultry houses have ventilation, heating, cooling, feed, and water management done entirely by automatic equipment. The feed that chicks consume also varies according to their age. The values of energy, protein, and other nutrients in the feed are adjusted based on the age of the chick. Veterinarians regularly visit the poultry houses to monitor flock health, performance, and management conditions. Chicks that stay in the poultry houses for 45-46 days are sent to our slaughterhouse after reaching a live weight of 2,600-2,800 grams. After the chicks are slaughtered, the empty poultry houses are cleaned, washed, and disinfected in preparation for the next cycle to ensure suitable conditions for new chicks.

Feed Production
Every meat breeding stock and chicken flocks raised on our farms are fed with feeds produced in our feed factories. The pellet feeds produced at our feed factories in Balıkesir, Elazığ, and İzmir are prepared according to the nutritional and energy values that chickens and chicks will need during their growth periods and are transported to the breeding farms without being touched, using modern feed transport vehicles.
Quality Assurance
Banvit A.Ş. operates on the principle of “from farm to fork” in its quality assurance implementations. Banvit's goal is to produce and deliver food products under safe, healthy, and hygienic conditions to consumers. In this regard, critical points in all processes are identified, controlled, and continuously monitored. The ISO 22000 Food Safety Management System, which includes new standards aimed at ensuring safe food supply worldwide and also encompasses the HACCP system, has been implemented in Banvit facilities since 2007. Since 2016, this system has continued as FSSC 22000 food safety certification, which includes additional requirements. The FSSC 22000 Food Safety Management System Certification aims to ensure common food safety requirements from farmers in the field to transport and storage operators, retailers, restaurants, and their suppliers, and is a HACCP-based food safety management system related to safe food production. Banvit A.Ş. has been applying the ISO 9001 quality management system in all its operations since 1999. Efforts within this scope have continued in 2019 with the certification of ISO 9001: 2015 version. The good agricultural practices system has been implemented since 2018, and efforts in this regard continue within the framework of the relevant certification. The objective of the good agricultural practices system is to ensure that production on farms is carried out in accordance with the requirements defined in terms of food safety, animal welfare, environmental health, and worker health.
