Why is chicken meat white?

The skin color of the chickens is significantly affected by the feed they consume. Chickens fed with a corn-heavy feed have yellow skin, while those fed with a wheat-heavy diet have white skin. This is entirely due to the natural pigments found in their feed. There is no difference in nutritional value between the two types of meat.
