"Natural gas has been used in our business for years. The purpose of choosing this is its cleanliness compared to fuels like fuel oil and coal, which have a high pollution load, and the emission values are very suitable. All other waste from our slaughterhouse is also being evaluated. The wastewater from the slaughterhouse is treated in the treatment plant, after which the outlet water values are regularly checked, and a large part of the treated water is recovered to meet the Drinking Water Regulation values, turning it into drinkable quality water, while a portion is used for garden irrigation, cleaning, and other tasks. The treatment plant's outlet water parameters and flue gas emissions are below the limit values specified in the regulation. Because these values are suitable, Banvit is one of the first companies to obtain both water discharge and emission (gas) permits, as well as the "Environmental Permit" covering our compliance with regulations. On the other hand, organic wastes are being evaluated like all other wastes, and significant environmental gains are achieved by cooking them to be used as raw material for fish feed and pet food. Production is carried out with "odor removal" units during the processes. It is one of the first in this regard. Our business has been a facility with ISO 14001 Environmental Management System since 2003.
